introducing a new character, her name is Kasumi, friend of Miko, Sister/Nee-san (from her Yakuza family).

what kind of girl you think she is? (her personality, judging by this illustration) :la:

Nice concept art. The first thing that came to my mind when seeing her was Gogo from Kill Bill, young and with innocent looks but a dark side which makes her unpredictable and kind of dangerous :)

This is AMAZING!

I absolutely adore this piece!

You have yourself a FAN.

Kasumi seems like the tough, "hell no bitch" type. I like her.

From what I see, I would say she's the feisty kind (of course she would be... XD) but also cool and quite sarcastic when she can, also the one with a joke when the situation is tense?

The clothes are AMAZING ! Both in design and technique :) I also like the fact that her face is different, not a basic face, I mean we can easily make the difference between her face and Miko's, although that is sometimes hard for Europeans who look at Asian people (no offense at all XD but you have to get used to it because we are so set on the european faces style).

Great work!

haha you're right! :D she is really feisty, and a bit arrogant, and yes, I guess she is the one with the joke, something dry-humor-like if you know what I mean :D

yes! :) I've seen this problem on many people, artists tend to fall on this pattern where all the faces they draw look like a copy-pasta of the same :D I'm trying (really hard) to not commit this mistake :slow:

I feel ya u_u took me a long time and lots of Korean and Japanese variety to get to notice the differences on Asian faces, but luckily is one of those things that once you notice it, you can't un-notice it :D and it turns kind of annoying sometimes when people without a trained eye say Asians all look the same because you can now see the differences very clearly/easily :D

Yey ! I'm happy I got that right XD

I also try very hard to make different faces. Whether I succeed is a whole other story XD

I know, right? I had a Japanese friend when I was very young and since then most of the time I can tell if someone are Japanese or otherwise (I'm not always right, but I usually spot Japanese people quite well.)
So yeah, I'm rather annoyed when people use "Chinese" as a generic word for all Asians they see >.>

:D well, it is good that you try :aww:

haha well, there also differences between people from different countries :D their facial structure is different, as I told you, once you notice it you can't un-notice it u_u for example, Chinese people have round, flat faces and (mostly) small eyes ([link]), Koreans have bigger cheeks and also small eyes ([link]), and on the other hand Japanese are very different, they have very "well developed" faces, I mean, they have stronger brows, bigger eyes (lots of Japs have double lids) they have more pronounced and pronounced chins and jaws ([link]).

Chinese [link] Korean [link] Japanese [link]

sorry if I wrote too much :( I feel like I have a degree in that field :D I've studied so much about Asian anatomy, culture, languages, religion etc...etc...etc..., you could say Asia is my bug obsession :D

Oh no, don't apologize, that is so frigging interesting ! Thanks ! O_O 'Cause you know I could kind of understand the difference but I never knew WHY they were different XD i'm impressed with your knowledge on that field, it's good to have an obsession, it makes you happy. My obsessions are numerous. If I started listing them, I would never be finished XD Costumes is one of them... then Middle-Ages;.. then Modern Times... history in general although I suck at it... (why? XD) and absinthe although I don't drink (WHY? XD). Okay, i'm going to stop now, I sound crazy XD
